The Inland Empire Chapter of APICS, the leading association for supply chain and operations professionals, is putting the spotlight on service with its Fall Executive Panel & Networking Symposium: The Amazon Effect: The Critical Importance of Customer Service for Manufacturers & Distributors on November 8. The symposium will feature networking and a lively discussion on how Amazon and companies like Amazon are continuously improving customer service, slashing lead times and building loyal patrons. Featured panelists include Kusum Kavia of Combustion Associates, Inc., Derinda Ehrlich, APICS VP Corporate Channel Services and former executive at Avnet and Motorola, Jonathan LaCour, Casa Herrera and Chris Riley, Mitochon Systems, Inc.
“The Symposium brings together manufacturing and distribution students and professionals to exchange ideas and hear from business leaders on how they are navigating the current business environment and increasing complexities required to succeed,” explains Lisa Anderson, President of APICS-IE and LMA Consulting Group. “This topic is near and dear to my heart having just completed research and a webinar on the Amazon Effect. We know that customer service is truly a game changer and the research confirmed what Amazon already knows. It is time for manufacturers and distributors to rethink how they service their customers and builds and deliver products to meet and exceed expectations every time. That’s how you build a loyal customer!”
